The technology and design of ebikes has gotten better and better throughout the years which has increased the performance and quality making it a great time to invest. Whether you’re thinking of something to have fun on or looking for an alternative mode of transportation, ebikes are a great way to get around the island. With ebikes you don’t have to worry about parking fees, gas, and you’ll save on maintenance and insurance. Not to mention Hawaii does not require a license to ride an ebike so it’s one less thing to have to maintain and pay for.

Some benefits of financing are the elimination of having to have the cash up-front for a purchase making it easier on your wallet and spreading out payments as you gain value by riding the bike on a daily basis. We came up with a solution for our customers who are looking for an alternative payment method, financing through Synchrony which some of you may recognize as GE Capital.

At Ebikes Hawaii we are offering 12 months with 0% interest, or 36 months at 9.99% interest, which makes purchasing an ebike a bit more comfortable of a decision and easier to fit into your budget; and there’s always the option to pay more and finish up the payments sooner than the 12 or 36 months if you choose to (a note to be sure and pay off the full amount in the agreed upon time frame to avoid incurring any additional interest charges).

There are a few criteria to meet before you start the finance process, you’ll need a

Current U.S. address
One primary government issued ID
- State DL
- State ID
- Military ID
- Passport
A secondary ID: Credit Card
A U.S. Social Security number (US-SSN)
Canadian SIN (Social Insurance Number) or
Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
Telephone Number

It's a simple process that can be done online or in the shop; if you want to do it online go to our website at www.ebikeshawaii.com and select the Financing tab on the top right:

then select Apply Online and that will allow you to start the process if you know which bike/product you want and the cost. We recommend reading the terms and conditions beforehand as it’s saturated with really important information!

If you want to get an idea of what your payments would be you can play around with numbers on the Synchrony site and calculate your monthly payment before purchasing. Go to: www.mysynchrony.com, scroll down to Payment Calculator:

and enter in the amount you want to finance, the length of time it would take to pay off, again at Ebikes Hawaii we offer 12 months 0% interest, so if you choose this option you would select the No interest/Equal Payment option and from there you will get an estimate of your monthly payments.

You can also stop in to either one of our Honolulu or Kapolei locations once you know which bike/product you want, make sure to bring two forms of ID, fill out the online form at the shop, and you can get approved on the spot and take your bike home the same day!

In 7-10 days after you apply and are approved you’ll receive a credit card which you won’t need to do anything with, along with a statement in the mail to start making payments from there. You can also set up a login online and pay that way if you prefer.
