Featuring the all new Aventure.2 and the Level.2!

Introducing the all new Aventon Aventure.2. and Level.2. Now with torque sensors!

The biggest and best changes yet have been brewing at Aventon just in time for the all new Aventure to take you on the best journey yet! Featuring a torque sensor for the very first time, aggressive and casual riders alike will enjoy the fact that when you press on the pedals, you get near-instantaneous pedal assist response. It’s fast, it’s intuitive, and it just feels better. Integrated turn signals and brake lights are fantastic upgrades from the previous models. Lastly, fenders and a rear rack come standard. Check out all the major upgrades below!

The Aventure.2 is a seriously comfortable bike. It comes with a plush, forgiving seat and a geometry that puts the rider in a stable upright position that feels relaxed and safe even at top speeds. Aventon’s major upgrade over the Original Aventure is using torque sensor pedal-assist technology over a cadence sensor. Simplifying things as much as possible, a cadence sensor works by consistently assisting riders based on preset speeds. Cadence sensors measure if a rider is pedaling, provide power up to a certain speed, and then cut off power once that speed is reached. Meanwhile, a torque sensor measures how hard a rider is pedaling and responds accordingly, depending on settings. The harder you pedal, the more help you get. According to Aventon’s blog post describing the difference between the two pedal-assist technologies, a torque sensor feels more like a classic bike riding experience. Another handy bonus: torque sensors tend to increase battery life, as they aren’t delivering a predetermined amount of assistance at a steady rate.

The all new turn signal functions amazingly well, which works perfectly for those of us who use it in town, but the turn signal is definitely effective for off road use, especially when riding in a group. The built in rear rack really serves its purpose well, because who doesn’t need the extra carrying capacity? We like it for all the same reasons you will - making it easier to carry everything you will need on the road. The front suspension fork is a game changer at this price point and ensures a comfortable ride wherever the trails take you. Lastly, we love the fact that the display offers names for the different assist modes. This helps to eliminate confusion, especially for new riders.

These modes are eco, tour, sport, and turbo.

Eco - Get the most out of your battery life with a casual ride. This mode is more you than the motor.

Tour - Perfect for a little pick-me-up for longer rides with less physical effort.

Sport - Make moves by letting the motor do more of the work. Go up low grades without working so hard.

Turbo - Get more power out of the motor and let the torque sensor amplify your momentum for quicker accelerations on flat surfaces and up steep hills.

The redefined Level.2

All new Level.2

When we heard that Aventon was reworking the Level, we were ecstatic. It is an industry first for an electric bike at this price point to have a torque sensor, and we were eager to take the refined Level.2 for a spin. For those of us not familiar with what a torque sensor does, basically, the harder you pedal, the more the bike will assist in your efforts. Back off and the assist drops away. It’s all very transparent to the rider, but it’s a huge help on hills and increases efficiency, while extending the range of the battery. The Level.2 also includes a boost in torque output over the previous model which is a fantastic help for all of the hills we encounter around Honolulu and beyond.

Aventon was one of the first e-bike manufacturers to use an app to tweak bike settings

Aventon’s backlit, fully colored, and intuitive ebike display details all the data you’ll need. Regardless of if you’re looking for battery life left, distance traveled, or current speed, the Full Color Display provides all the information you need as you need it, whether you’re midway through your joyride or hoping to prolong your commute to take the scenic route home.

Level.2’s display also connects to Apple and Android devices through the Aventon mobile app, where you can access even more information about your rides and gain a deeper understanding of how you joy ride! The Aventon mobile app allows you to turn on your ebike’s integrated lights and adjust the top speed if you’re riding in areas where Class III ebikes are allowed. Having this much control over your bike is a fantastic feature that offers a lot of flexibility for many people, especially those of us who use an electric bike for most of our commuting.

The Level.2 is another solid offering from Aventon, which makes a wide range of ebikes as it is. The Level.2 really shines on what they do best: offer a highly useful, affordable and integrated commuter platform that’s also fun to ride and built to last. On the street, most people won’t give the Level.2 a second look these days, so common are electric bikes. But for just over $2,000, it’s a satisfying and worthwhile investment, if not an outright bargain, since it includes stout fenders, that wonderful torque sensor, fully integrated lights, and a solid scoop of hill-climbing power.

As the second ebike in the Aventon line-up, the Level instantly grew into a customer favorite because of its sturdiness, overall comfort, ease of use, value, and incredible fun. Following in the footsteps of Aventon’s original Level, Level.2 is equally durable, comfortable, fully equipped, and easy to use. The difference? New features and components that offer a new way to ride, for longer distances, with an endless amount of excitement! Check out Level.2 or Level.2 Step-through today!
